Q Should babies have flu shots?

A The Federal Government’s Immunise Australia Program recommends an annual influenza vaccine for all Australians over six months of age that want to reduce their likelihood of contracting the virus. The program strongly recommends the vaccine for children over six months who suffer from medical conditions that predispose them to influenza and can lead to serious complications, including chronic neurological and respiratory conditions, cardiac disease and severe asthma. Of course, there are always precautions, so speak to your doctor first.
